Southern Live-In Carers is an introductory agency that live-in carers can register with to find work with our selected care providers across the UK. We pride ourselves on the high quality of the carers we introduce to the care providers and as such spend a lot of time ensuring you are right for us before we invite you to fully register with us.


 We are meticulous about our registration process and no carer is registered with us unless they meet every one of our specific criteria's. 
Our checks: 
  • Identification
  • Verify references
  • Obtain criminal record checks (both in the UK and abroad if applicable)
  • Verify given qualifications
  • SLIC training is completed 
  • Interview face-to-face (or via video)
  • Check language skills and comprehension
  • Spend time getting to know each of our carers, allowing their personalities to shine
We want to know who you really are - we talk to you about your hobbies, your family, education, background, aspirations, likes and dislikes, cooking and housekeeping skills and what you are passionate about. Our Live-in Carers are not only brilliant people, but are highly qualified. to continue your relationship with SLIC we require you to re-register with our agency every three years.

We also help to arrange Live-in Care Training Courses for people who are new to care, and for those of you who need to refresh your skills!

The purpose of the role is to assist with a variety of tasks and enable the customers to live independently. Independence for a disabled or elderly person does not have to mean carrying out all tasks themselves; instead, it means having control about how and when they live their lives.

You are there to support customers with the parts of their lives that they need support with.


The selected care providers we work with would benefit from experienced care workers, though this is not essential

providing you are a mature character, who are interested in caring for those wishing to live independently.


You must be able to hold a lively conversation in English and have good basic numeracy and literacy skills.
